I am calling for calm. There have been a great many things said over the last few days about both Kate and Humza’s religious beliefs, we need an end to the mudslinging.

An inclusive Scotland needs a wider door and longer table, where we can respectfully discuss and agree to disagree. What we need is less intensity and more considered thinking.

Both are valued colleagues and are an important part of the SNP. If we can’t show respect to their beliefs, then we must consider what this is saying to Scotland.

I will lead a Stronger SNP, together for Scotland.
